Practice 03

Infrastructure

The network, physical security, and meeting rooms at every site, designed and managed on the same identity model as everything else. We design and run it; licensed partners we manage handle the physical installation, so you still deal with one accountable team.

3.1

Networks and sites

Firewalls, switching, and wireless designed per site, segmented by purpose, and monitored around the clock. Every device documented, every configuration backed up, every change logged.

What we deliver

  • Site network design: firewall, switching, and Wi-Fi sized to the building and the headcount
  • Segmentation that keeps cameras, door controllers, guests, and IoT off the corporate network
  • Corporate Wi-Fi authenticated by device certificate, not a shared password
  • 24x7 monitoring, configuration backup, and firmware kept current inside a maintenance window
  • Remote and site-to-site access designed alongside Conditional Access, not around it
  • Cabling and rack work scoped by us and installed by licensed partners we manage

Typical situations

  • A new office opens in six months and nobody owns the network.
  • Cameras, printers, and laptops all share one flat network.
  • The firewall was set up by someone who no longer answers the phone.

3.2

Physical security

Cameras and access control designed as part of the environment, not bolted on beside it. Badges issued and revoked through the same joiner, mover, leaver process as every account and device.

What we deliver

  • Camera and door layouts designed from the floor plan, with retention and footage access defined up front
  • Badge provisioning tied to onboarding and offboarding, so the door and the laptop are revoked together
  • Cameras and controllers on their own network segment, never exposed to the internet
  • Cloud management with admin access behind MFA and scoped by role
  • Installation, permits, and inspections handled by licensed low-voltage partners we manage, coordinated with your fire and life safety requirements
  • Ongoing management: firmware, health monitoring, badge changes, and footage requests

Typical situations

  • A new headquarters is going up and security is still a line item.
  • Badges for people who left last year still open the front door.
  • Something happened and nobody could find the footage.

3.3

Meeting rooms

Conference rooms where the meeting starts when someone walks in. Microsoft Teams Rooms designed, deployed, and managed with the rest of your Microsoft 365 environment.

What we deliver

  • Room standards by size, from huddle rooms to the boardroom, with the same experience in each
  • Teams Rooms licensing, resource accounts, and calendar policies configured correctly from day one
  • Room devices enrolled in Intune and held to the same compliance standard as laptops
  • Displays, cameras, audio, scheduling panels, and wireless content sharing specified together
  • Mounting, cabling, and AV installation by partners we manage
  • Health monitoring, so a broken room gets found before the meeting, not during it

Typical situations

  • Every meeting starts with ten minutes of finding the right cable.
  • Each room was bought at a different time from a different vendor.
  • The boardroom works for people in the room and no one else.
